Join the list of Verizon employee volunteers who have been showing
students how business works for more than 40 years. Volunteer now to be a
Junior Achievement (JA) consultant.
Junior Achievement is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization that
helps bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace. JA recruits
and supports volunteers who educate and inspire children and young people
in grades K-12.
Consultants are needed now for Massachusetts schools in greater
Taunton, the Attleboros, greater Fall River, greater New Bedford and
greater Wareham. Under the guidance of
the classroom teacher, you'll use your knowledge of business and hands-on
projects provided by JA to educate students about business and economics
and what it takes to be successful. No prior teaching experience is
necessary. You'll work with the same class once
a week for five to six weeks. Sessions
will last from 40 to 55 minutes.
To volunteer
or to get more information contact JA on 508-997-6536 or go to
http://southernmass.ja.org.
Note:
While employees are encouraged to participate, these and other volunteer
activities are to be done on your own time or with supervisor approval.
