Foley and Diane Rodger recently had the opportunity to partner with
Cardi's Furniture at the Hill Roberts school in S. Attleboro,
Massachusetts. Cardi's donated a leather
living room set to the school's library and the Denver Chapter of
Pioneers provided a colorful map rug and 48 dictionaries to finish off
the reading area.
We all went up to the auditorium where the library area was dedicated to
four retired teachers and principal.
The Pioneers were recognized and handed a giant card signed by all the
students. This was followed by a reading of Horton hears a Who, by Dr.
Seuss. The Sun Chronicle and My Backyard news media were there to
capture the event as well as a video taped interview which was given by
Diane and Deb.
Diane has tentatively scheduled a US Playground Map for the fall once
the playground receives it's new hot top.
The school was thrilled to receive their gifts from the Pioneers and we
look forward to a continued relationship with them in the future.
