High School Student Council members partnered with the Verizon
TelecomPioneers "Jammie Time" project in December.
Thirty students were each given a $20 gift card by the Pioneers to
purchase pajamas and a book. Nicole, a representative of New Hope shelter
in Attleboro was contacted and attended the meeting to accept the
donations.
She thanked the student council for their very nice gift and emphasized
the importance of their contribution to New Hope as well as to the other
agencies they were impacting with their community involvement.
Mrs. Foley of the Verizon Pioneers provided refreshments and thanked the
student council again for their participation. Everyone agreed
that it was a fun project and one which they would like to do again.
