alt="Bruce installing computers"As a Chapter Project, Chris Casino and Lori Stanton purchased 3 new computers, a printer and a digital camera for the Helen Berube Teen Parent Program.  Pioneers Bruce Lambert and Gary Burris helped Chris and Lori set up the computers on a wireless network so the girls could learn to computer skills and have Internet access.  This opportunity will help the girls with their education and eventually job hunting.

The Helen Berube Teen Parent Program is located in the back of StTheresa’s Church in Pittsfield Ma.  The program helps pregnant teens or teens that are new moms continue with their education.  The girls are able to acquire their GED or High School Diploma through the program.  The Program currently has 27 students enrolled and can accommodate up to 45.  There is an onsite daycare with 10 babies attending and a fulltime nurse to help with any medical needs the girls may have. The program is almost entirely privately funded.  The only thing the local School Department provides is 8 tutors.
