On July 27 the
Framingham Council of Verizon TelecomPioneers participated
in an event at 251
Locke drive, Marlboro sponsored by the New England Transport Technical
Support Team. The 3 hour event brought together employee resource groups
so that employees could see the kind of resources available to them for
information and volunteering. There were games, food give-aways,
drawings and was well attended by many employees in the building. Each
group had a poster board and thanks to Dawn Stuller, (in photo at right)
Framingham Council VP, for putting ours together. Pioneers who
volunteered at the table were Jane Pitts and Venus Jolin. We signed up 4
new members and many more took applications. We gave away information
packets, lanyards, flags, Pioneer and FiOs pencils and Verizon Reads
book contest flyers. We had a free drawing for a Pioneer truck, Boyds
Bear, Pioneer triangle and Pioneer socks won by Alexis Rivera-Gonzalez.
The event brought all the employees together for a fun and informative
day. view more
